Experience

Life can be as rich and fulfilling as you choose it to be.

I decided long ago that I wasn't going to yearn for what I don't have.  I don't HAVE to experience everything that this world has to offer.  I don't even have to ponder over how I would feel if my life situation was "better".

One of the most valuable things I've been able to deduce from life is that you can find true bliss in everything around you.  It's very simple too.  All you have to do is give in to your senses.
We live and experience life through our five senses so why not try to make everyday life a flavorful experience for the senses?

One of the first things that I changed was I started to treat my surroundings like they're all works of art.  I try to not just see things, but I try to find the beauty around me.  Everything can be appreciated in one way or another, it's just a matter of consciously finding that special aspect.  The eyes aren't hard to please.
Don't forget that everything is a multi-sensory activity.  I can look at a tree, and try to distinguish aromas trapped in the air all at the same time.  This increases the my experience more than double.  Add to that the feel of circulating air on your skin, then you have suddenly have an exciting and eventful experience.

The one aspect of everyday life that we easily take for granted is eating.
Not very many people take time to appreciate the subtle beauties that food has to offer.  I learned that a grand pleasure can be experienced just from the simple act of eating food.
There's the intoxicating aroma.
The robust flavors.
The playful textures.
The seducing appearance.
And some foods even have alluring sounds that call you towards them.

You CAN be happy with all that's around you, with everyday activities that could otherwise be boring or mundane, it's just a matter of taking the effort to do so.

CHOOSE to enjoy life.
